The Personal Training Program (PTP) at Washington Chiropractic is the prescription for you! We will design a personalized training program for you that combines two powerful, proven tools in rehabilitative medicine: Cardiovascular Training and Stabilization Exercises. Research has repeatedly proven that by improving our cardiovascular conditioning, we can reduce the amount of back and neck pain we experience. Of course, a cardiovascular training program will also help with weight loss, stamina and endurance, and so-called “winter blues”, or S.A.D.

Our Cardiovascular Training is designed to exercise your body by raising your heart. By moving and working out your muscles, not only do they get stronger, but by making stronger muscles you make for a more efficient and healthy body.

Stabilization Exercise is an active form of personal training designed to strengthen muscles that support the spine and help prevent lower back pain. An example of this is sitting on a gymnastic ball and extending one knee to maintain balance and control without pain. This kind of training is designed for a patient to find and maintain his “neutral” spine position. These muscles are then exercised to teach the spine how to stay in position. Stabilization training utilizes strengthening exercises as well as stretching and aerobic conditioning to rehabilitate the back. Stabilization training programs are individually designed for each patient based on the patient’s condition.
